Linda Sue Tecklenburg, 70, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, in Winslow.
Mrs. Tecklenburg was born Sept. 12, 1939, in Brownwood, Texas, and was an Arizona resident for 68 years. She worked for the Winslow School District and retired in 2002 after 30 years. She was a longtime fan and supporter of Winslow Bulldog activities. She also served as president of the Winslow Historical Society. She will be remembered as fun-loving, life-embracing, family-oriented and feisty to all who knew her. She will be missed as a friend, mother, sister and grandma.
Mrs. Tecklenburg is survived by son Nelson (Kathy) Tecklenburg; daughters Diana Gallegos, Kay (Tim) Horner and Carol Tecklenburg; brother William Drayton Matthews; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Tecklenburg; and parents Letha and William Matthews.
A funeral service, with Gene Hancock officiating, for will be today at 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Winslow Stake Center, 205 W. Lee St., in Winslow. Viewing will be one hour prior in the Relief Society Room. Burial to follow in Desert View Cemetery.
