Denton Dwaine (D.D.)
Denton Dwaine (D.D.) Padgett, 89, of Clarkdale died on Feb. 10. He was born December 11, 1920 in Vermont, Illinois the son of Clarence and Bessie (Heflin) Padgett.
He served his country in World War II in the Army.
Mr. Padgett was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother.
He is survived by his son, Gary Dwaine Padgett, one daughter Patricia Ann Taylor; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; three nephews and six nieces.
After returning from the war he started his own construction business and worked mostly in the Scottsdale area and Clarkdale after he retired there.
After his retirement he worked at his hobbies, which he took to craft shows. He worked in his hobby shop until shortly before his death.
He belonged to the Scottish Masonic Lodge for many years. He also belonged to the El Zabrith Shrine for 30 years and was very happy working to help the crippled children through the shine.
A visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 15 at the Westcott Funeral Home from 4-6 PM. A graveside service will be held Tuesday Feb. 16 at the Green Acres Memorial Park at 11:30.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children,
