The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, April 22, 2003 Charles (Chuck) R. Fredrich, 74, passed away on Good Friday, April 18, 2003, at home. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Cherie J. (Hopper), daughter Janet (Richard N. Velasquez), grandchildren, Virginia, Cynthia, and Richard. Brothers Roger (Peggy) of Phx, Robert (Yvonne), Gerald (Linda) of WI. Preceded in death by parents Aug and Laura, son Michael. He served in the Navy & Army, returned to West Allis, WI. where he was a milkman for Golden Guernsey & a Basketball Ref. Moved to Phx. in '67, worked for Carnation & Laura Scudders until retirement. He was active with American Legion #1 receiving the honor of Legioneer of the Year, the Elks #2729 serving as Bingo Chairman and received Elk of the Year, Sandy Coor VFW, DAV #20, St. Mary's Dad Club President, support of youth & High School sports. A highly regarded community member he was known for his generous support, gentle heart and great sense of humor. A husband, father, grandpa, brother, friend, he will be greatly missed, never forgotten. Thursday 4-24 at Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home Rosary will be said at 6:30 with a Memorial Service to follow. Friday the 25th burial service at 11:00 A.M. at the National Memorial Cemetery with full Military honors. Reception to follow.
