CHARLES, William N.

William N. Charles, age 78, passed away June 22, 2003 in Glendale, AZ. He was born April 19, 1925 in Dallas County, Iowa and served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

A dedicated pastor for over 50 years, Bill pastored churches first in Iowa, then California, and later Central United Methodist, Creighton United Methodist, Epworth United Methodist and Desert West United Methodist Churches in the Phoenix area.

Preceded in death by his son, Ron Charles in 1969, he is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Jeanette; daughter, Linda Henrichs; sons, John and Daniel Charles; 7 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation 5-8pm, Thursday, June 26, 2003 at Green Acres Glendale Mortuary, 5830 W. Missouri Ave., Glendale, AZ; Funeral Service 1pm, Friday, June 27, 2003 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 4802 N. 59th Ave., Phoenix, AZ; Interment will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, AZ. Memorial donations to Epworth United Methodist Church.
