CANFIELD, Charles William (Billy)


Billy Charles William Canfield, 17, of Chandler died Nov. 22, 2002 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Billy was born July 26, 1985 in Tulsa, Okla. He was a student at Chandler High School. He was devoted to his family and friends and greatly enjoyed trips with his family. He loved to work on restoring his 1979 Pontiac Firebird with his dad. He loved to make things from wood. He worked at Domino's Pizza for a year and took pride in his work. He loved to play video games, listen to heavy metal music and was outgoing and funny. He played electric guitar and loved to watch hockey and baseball, especially the Phoenix Coyotes. Born with a heart condition, he was a fighter and survivor his whole life. He learned to appreciate life and lived it to the fullest. Survivors include his parents, Charles W. and Virginia M. Canfield of Chandler; three sisters, Rachel Gonzales of Safford, Rebecca Lopez of Tempe and SueAnn Canfield of Chandler; and grandparents, Virgil and Ollie Durant of Casa Grande and Robert and Gwendolyn Canfield of New Castle, Wyo.
