BELL, Hazel

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, April 23, 2003 Hazel Boyer Bell, 66 of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on April 18, 2003. She was the youngest of five children of Sylvanus "Breezy" and Mattie Boyer. A native of Phoenix, Ms. Bell attended Carver High School and Phoenix Union High School. She was also a graduate of Arizona State University, taking her Bachelors degree in Sociology. She was a Maricopa County Probation officer for many years, later working for the State Parole Board. She was an active member of community and a published poet. She was a life long member of First Institutional Baptist Church. She is survived by her two sons, Kevin and Leslie and one grandson, Morgan. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 24, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at First Institutional Baptist Church, 1141 E.
