John Simpson Moore of Gilbert passed away on April 20, 2003. He was 81.
A native Arizonan, he was born in Solomonville and was master journeyman in the construction field. He also served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by two daughters, Peggy Townsend (Dwain) and Marilyn Miller ("Meredith") of Gilbert; five grandchildren, John Townsend, Renae Roe, David Townsend, Bobby Miller and Chad Miller; six great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 25, at 1 PM at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road in Chandler.
The family suggests contributions to the Neely-Ray Hospice House, 13639 E. Ray Road, Gilbert 85296.
