Anton J. Skraba, Born February 5, 1920, in Ely, MN; died April 16, 2003 in Mesa, AZ.
Survived by Anna, his loving wife of 58 years; his children, Ed, Jim (Cathy), and Lisa Fortney (Rob); and his grandchildren, Layla, Chandler, Rachel, Mataya, John Michael, Rebecca and Kelsey. Also survived by his sisters, Mary Melavasich, Agnes Zaverl and Olga Feroni; his brother Albert (Virginia) Skraba, and many relatives and friends.
Anton was a WWII Navy Veteran and recipient of The Purple Heart Medal, later discharged in Seattle where he met and married his true love, Ann, on April 14, 1945. He worked in the steel industry, retired in 1982, and moved to Arizona. He loved traveling, fishing, and enjoying his retirement.
Recitation of the Rosary will be today, Wednesday, at 7PM at Hoffner Fisher & Harvey Chapel, 508 North 36th St., Seattle, WA
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 24th, at 10:30 AM at St. John's Church, 121 North 80th St., Seattle.
Interment, Holyrood Cemetery.
