WILLIAMS, William R. (Bill)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, AZ ~ 04/11/2003 William R. "Bill" Williams, 76, died April 4, 2003, at his home in Show Low. Bill was proud to have served his country in the Navy during World War II. He enjoyed sharing these memories and history with his family and friends. Bill married Barbara Jones in 1960 and they moved to Alaska that same year where he worked in Alaska's oil field until 1985. He enjoyed spending his free time fishing, camping and hunting in Alaska's wilderness. Bill and Barbara moved to Arizona after his retirement from ARCO in 1985 where he loved to play golf and enjoyed traveling to spend time with family and friends. His family is so proud of him and will miss him dearly. Bill leaves behind his wife and best friend of 45 years, Barbara; two daughters, Mary and Joni; two sons, Billy and Casey; a daughter-in-law, Bebe; and his grandson, Sheridan. Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Owens Mortuary in Show Low.
