Donna "Eileen" Stroud, 92, died peacefully April 1, 2003 in Eagar.
Eileen was born Aug. 3, 1910 in Salt Lake City and raised in Goshun, Utah. She taught school for 40 years in the Salt Lake City area.
Eileen's legacy is headed by her only son, Michael T. Stroud and his wife Margaret of Eagar and one sister, Ila Lynn "Peggy" Elton of Tooele, Utah. She was the proud grandmother of numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sweetheart of 55 years, Walter Alvin Stroud; one brother, William Frank Page; and two sisters, Jesse Faye Proctor and Theral Pearl Hammand.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 7 at the Eagar Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with a viewing one hour prior. Eileen will be honored in a second service in Salt Lake City, Utah at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April at Larkin Mortuary. Interment will be next to her husband in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
Eileen will be greatly missed and will hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her.
