Harvey R. Watkins Sr. was born July 29, 1938 in Grants, N.M., to Elvis "Tex" and Francis Hughes Watkins.

He is survived by his wife JoAnn and children, Sandra and Bobby of Kansas, Sherri and Larry of Virginia, Buddy and Shelli of Holbrook; five grantchildren and three great-grandchildren.
  
Harvey retired after 35 years with the U.S. Forest Service. He was a devoted husband and father. We will miss his strength and big grin.
