Audrey Hulda Miller was born Dec. 1, 1923 near Miami, Fla. She quietly left us on Feb. 15.
She married Alma Rogers Lee Sr. in 1941 in Miami, Fla., Before the birth of their first child in 1941 they migrated to Phoenix, Ariz., where she raised seven children.
She worked beside her husband of 62 years to build a real estate development and holding company. She was a licensed real estate agent and notary public.
She and her husband helped pioneer the growth of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints “Mormons” in the far west Valley. They moved to Wittmann, Ariz., where she was very active in her community. She was definitely out of tough pioneer stock.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002 and two sons Delbert and Robert. She is survived by three sons, all of Wittmann, Ariz.: Alma Rogers Lee Jr., Joseph W. Lee and Reed A. Lee, and two daughters of Hammond, La.: Cynthia (Lee) Bankston and Lydia (Lee) Sanders, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Funeral services were held on Saturday (Feb 20) at Wickenburg Ward LDS Chapel with visitation one hour prior and interment following at Wittmann Cemetery.
