The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, February 24, 2010, p A-16 Lois L. Weaver, age 80, passed away Feb. 17 in Sun City, Ariz. Funeral services will be held on March 3 at 2 p.m. at the Grace Bible Church in Congress with interment to follow in the Congress Cemetery. Lois was born Feb. 7, 1930 in San Antonio, Texas, to Larry Harling and Ester Farris Harling. She and her husband John “Walter” Weaver came to Arizona in 1992 from Oregon. They enjoyed prospecting and came to the Stanton area and later purchased a home in Congress. Lois was primarily a homemaker and she enjoyed gardening and studying the Bible. She was a generous person and would help others whenever she could. Lois was preceded in death by her husband Walter Weaver Dec. 21, 1997. She is survived by sisters-in-law Lucille Peer, Dorothy Hart, and brothers-in-law Jim Weaver and Jack Spaulding all of Oregon, several nieces and nephews, a number of friends, and last but not least her cat “Smokey”.
