Dr. Betty A. Kent, 69, of Sun Lakes, Arizona passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2002 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Betty was born on May 13, 1933 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, the daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Seibt) Hafer.
She was a retired elementary principal from the Lookout Mountain School District in Phoenix, AZ and a college professor of education at Northern Arizona University.
Betty is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Eileen Simon, Green Bay; and Eric "Rick" and Kathy Simon, Crestline, CA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janelle and Larry Cook, Northglenn, CO; and Joyce and Randy Sexton, Phoenix, AZ; ten grandchildren; one sister, Joy Bishop, Apache Jct., AZ; one brother, David Hafer, Apache Jct., AZ; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service 2:OOp.m. on Friday, December 27, 2002, at Bethel Baptist Church, 1601 Libal Street, Green Bay, WI. A memorial service is planned for 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2003, at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, 9248 E. Riggs Road, Sun Lakes, AZ Schauer & Schumacher Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Green Bay, WI (920-432-4841) is assisting the family.
