BRIOT, Henry Victor


Prescott (AZ) Courier Thursday, August 1, 1901, p 3 Henry V Briot, a well known citizen of this county, who has been in business at McCabe for some time, died at that point Tuesday night last, and George Ruffner sent out a team and brought the remains to Logan's undertaking parlors. Deceased was 43 years of age and a native of France, but became a citizen of this country through his father's naturalization. Mrs. Wooster, of Prescott, is a sister of the deceased. same date-- The funeral of the late H. V. Briot, of McCabe, will be held at the church of the Advent (Episcopal), at 3pm today, instead of at Wooster's residence, as previously announced. Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend. ---------------------- Arizona Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, August 7, 1901, page 2, column 7 Henry V. Briot, brother of Mrs. Geo. Wooster died at McCabe this morning in his forty second year. He was a cousin and former business partner of E. G. Wager of this city. Mr. Briot had been slightly indisposed and under Dr. Looney's care, but yesterday was feeling quite well. It is supposed that death was immediately caused by heart disease as he was found at the threshold of his door at about five o'clock this morning, he having been dead some two hours. His body is being brought in and the interment will take place from the Wooster residence, probably tomorrow morning, very quite and privately. Mr. Briot is a comparatively old timer in Yavapai having come to this section some twenty or more years ago. Later - The funeral of the late Henry V. Briot will take place from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wooster tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mr. Briot is buried at the I.O.O.F.
