SHOGREN, Bertil G. (Bert)

Bertil G. (Bert) Shogren, 83, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on June 19, 2003. Born on November 8, 1919 in Detroit, MI, he moved to Arizona 8 years ago from Kenton, OH.

He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He was the proud father of Martha Hamilton of Jacksonville, FL and Sandy Shogren of Phoenix, AZ. Bert was a committed father who raised his daughters in Kenton, OH as a single parent, through the turbulent 60's and 70's.

He is survived by his two daughters; niece, Connie Harvey; nephews, Dennis and Lee Johanson; and sister-in-law, Beulah Shogren.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at 2:00 P.M. at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. The family encourages donations to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014, whose kindness & support was greatly appreciated.
