HOLLIDAY, Ed P.

Prescott (AZ) Courier Saturday, June 22, 1901, p 4 The sad news reached Prescott yesterday morning of the death of E. P. Holliday at the McCabe hospital, from the result of injuries sustained while he was working in the Cypress mine Sunday last. The staging gave way and he had a severe fall. He had resided in this section of country for over twenty years; was a miner by occupation; was a quiet, industrious and honorable man in fact, a typical good citizen, whose death will be sincerely regretted by all who knew the man. He was about 42 years of age. He was a Mason and a Knight Templar, a Workman, and an A.O.U.W. He came here from Toronto, Canada, where he has relations now living. He owned the Gold Leaf mining group, in the Jersey Lily section. A coffin was sent out yesterday for the remains to be brought to Prescott. Prescott (AZ) Courier Monday, June 24, 1901, p 3 The funeral of the late E. P. Holliday took place yesterday afternoon, under Masonic auspices, and was largely attended.
