SCHOLCZ, Blanka M.

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona February 22, 2010 Blanka M. Scholcz, age 83, passed away in Prescott, Ariz., on Feb. 20, 2010. She was born on Oct. 23, 1926, in Bretzingen, Germany. She moved with her husband to Tucson, Ariz., in 1954 and became a United States citizen. For most of her life, Blanka was a dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking and especially tending to her flower garden. While in Tucson, Blanka and her husband were active members of the German-American Club and enjoyed dancing to waltzes and polkas. Following her husband's retirement, she moved to Prescott, Ariz. Blanka was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Paul Scholcz. She is survived by her son, Edwin Scholcz of Tucson, Ariz.; her daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor and Wayne Sisson of Prescott Ariz.; her grandchildren, Becky and Michelle Sisson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. A private family service is being planned. The family suggests any memorials be made in her memory to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3300 N. Navajo Drive, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.
