Mary "Ma" Louise Plotz, 81, of Flagstaff, died Feb. 20, 2010. She was born Nov. 9, 1928, in Chillicothe, Ill. to William and Grace Haverland.
Mrs. Plotz loved life. Some of the activities she enjoyed most were gardening (she could grow anything), reading (she had a large book collection), crossword puzzles and watching birds. She loved animals and entertaining friends and family. Mrs. Plotz was a past president of the MD auxiliary of the Grand Order of the Cooties. She was an avid volunteer with the VFW and a Gold Star recipient for her son's service.
Mrs. Plotz is survived by her children, Deborah (Joe) Hill of Flagstaff, Dennis (Lita) Satoff of Antioch, Ill., Dottie Jo (Jeff) Morgan of Phoenix and Skip (Joyce) Plotz of Antioch, Ill.; sisters Janet Newell and Joann Blunier; brothers Kenneth Dickerson and Greoge Dickerson; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Satoff; her parents; brothers Robert Haverland and Jerry Haverland; and her son, Douglas Satoff (U.S. Army).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to either the Second Chance Center for Animals or Northland Hospice, both in Flagstaff.
