February 23, 2010 Neda Blazina Mercier 1930 - 2010 Neda Blazina Mercier died on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born in Jerome, Arizona on January 13, 1930 to John and Johanna Blazina. She graduated from Jerome High School in 1948 and from the University of Arizona in 1952. She taught school in Tucson, Arizona and in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She retired from Albuquerque Public Schools in 1995. She is survived by her children, David, Philip, Janette, Joanne, Daniel and Mary Elaine; 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Roberta (Mike) Westcott of Clarkdale, and Susan (Jack) Bedwell of Cottonwood; her uncle, Robert Svob of Tucson, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Mercier, her parents, and her brother, Ronald. Services were held in Albuquerque with burial in Santa Fe. Information provided by survivors.
