BUCHAN, Jack D.


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, April 24, 2003 Jack D. Buchan: October 2, 1919-April 21, 2003. Born to Bango Boykin & Edna Marie Buchan in Stroud, OK. 1 of 8 children (5 boys, 3 girls). He moved to AZ in 1932. Jack was drafted into the Army in 1941 and served in New Guinea during WWII, 158th RCT Bushmasters. He was discharged 9-8-45 and married 12-29-45. Jack retired from the AZ Sand & Rock Co. after 36 years as an electrician & member of the Operating Engineers Union Loc. 428. Jack was a dedicated family man and is survived by his wife Betty of 57 years, sons Mike & Bob, 6 grandchildren, & 11 great grandchildren. Services will be held on Sat. April 26th at 3 PM with viewing from 12-3 PM at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary 719 N. 27th Ave. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
