Marcel Leo Daugherty, 46, unexpectedly answered his call to God on Good Friday April 18th.
Born February 6, 1957 in Scottsdale, Marcel attended Brophy Prep school, and then traveled the West Coast pursuing his passion for guitar, deep sea diving, surfing, rock climbing, and other outdoor adventures. Marcel lived life to the fullest as a devoted Music Minister at St. Patrick's Catholic Community, was a member of the Civil Air Patrol as a certified pilot, served as Paddock Master and Announcer for the U.S. Equestrian Horse Shows, member of the FootHills Chapter of H.O.G, was certified in Mountain Search and Rescue, and a member of the Desert Paddlers Club.
Marcel's life also included over 20 years of service in the audio video industry as a professional and custom installer, and employed at OmniMount Systems, Inc. in Phoenix, for the last 5 years where he was Product Manager for Professional Audio/ Video Products. Marcel was a person who touched everyone he met with his love of life, his endless jokes, his never ending smile, and a twinkle in his eye.
Marcel was preceded in death by his father Harold Daugherty, and is survived by his mother Florence Daugherty of Scottsdale. Marcel will be lovingly missed by his girlfriend Nancy and all others whose life he touched in his own unique and unforgettable way.
Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday April 26th at St. Patrick's Catholic Community, 10815 N. 84th St. in Scottsdale.
