AKERS, Elda

Tempe – Elda Akers, 70, who attended Tempe Union High School and later owned two antique shops in Tempe, died Jan. 4, 1982, in Desert Samaritan Hospital.  

Mrs. Akers was born in Kankakee, Illinois, and was brought to Arizona as a child.  She is survived by daughters, Jane GATLIN, Joan WESTER and Marie RICHE; 11 grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers.  

Graveside services will be in Phoenix East Resthaven Park, 4310 E. Southern.  Carr Mortuary made arrangements.
