Harry George
Harry George Tuffley, 79, of Bullhead City, Arizona died June 21, 2003 after a long difficult battle with cancer. Harry was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on June 14, 1924.
Harry grew up in the Minneapolis/ St. Paul area and attended St. Thomas Military Academy where he excelled in both football and baseball. He proudly served his country during World War II in the Navy as a Radioman, serving on numerous ships including the USS William P. Biddle. During his tour of duty he crossed the equator multiple times.
Harry worked for Mobil Oil Corporation at their Torrance Oil refinery and retired after 31 years of employment with the company. Harry's retirement years were split between Illinois and Arizona. Harry was a life-long sports fan and became an avid Arizona Diamondback fan upon moving to Arizona.
Harry was married for 57 years to his loving wife Evva. Harry is survived by his wife Evva and his four children Michael Tuffley of San Diego, California, James Tuffley of Wildomar, California, Peggy Tuffley-Burnsed of Springfield, Georgia, and Cathy Tuffley of Vista, California.
Harry has six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is strongly missed and warmly remembered by his family and all those who knew him. A private interment is planned for Fort Rosecrans Memorial Cemetery, Point Loma, California.
