Local News -
Samuel Smith, an old resident of this county died at his home on the
Lower Agua Fria on July 9. He was 79 years of age having been born in
Indiana in 1822.
Twenty-five years of his life were spent in Yavapai County and no more
highly respected lived in the county than he.

Samuel Smith died at his home on the Lower Agua Fria, July 9, 1901, at
1:23pm. He was born in Indiana, July 19, 1822. He had lived on the Agua
Fria for 25 years and was beloved and respected by all who knew him.
All had a good word for "Uncle Samuel Smith."

The remains of the late Samuel Smith were brought to Prescott for
burial.
Note: Mr. Smith is buried at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott,
Arizona.
