YOUNG, Zane (Zaney Girl)

Zane "Zaney Girl" Ross Young, 85, of Casa Grande died Sept. 19, 2002 in Casa Grande. Mrs. Young was born Feb. 18, 1917 in Belle Fourche, S.D., to Fred M. and Floy (Mabbott) Ross. She was a member of First Assembly of God, and her passion was the Lord Jesus. She was a county health nurse in the 1930s. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed birdwatching. Survivors include a daughter, Charline A. Adams of Casa Grande; two sons, Charles W. Young Jr. of Tucson and Warren L. Young of Casa Grande; a sister, Patricia Fedderson of Gillette, Wyo.; three brothers, Fred Ross of Hill City, S.D., Lewis Ross of Wichita, Kan., and Jack Ross of Keystone, S.D.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wayne Young. Visitation Tuesday at Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel. The funeral there will follow at 10, with the Rev. Ed Bradford officiating.
