JORDAN, Margaret L.

The Prescott Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona ~ February 27, 2010 Margaret L. Jordan, age 87, passed away on Feb. 5, 2010, in Yuma, Ariz. She was born on April 15, 1922, in Sapulpa, Okla., to Alonzo and Mary Weddle. Margaret attended St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Phoenix, Ariz. After graduating, she began her career in nursing, which she continued up until retirement. She married Francis G. Jordan on Nov. 21, 1945, in Long Beach, Calif. She and her husband moved to Prescott, Ariz., in the early 1950s, where they raised four boys. They were proud members of Smoki and were deeply involved in the town's Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball programs. After retirement, Margaret and Francis enjoyed the fruits of their labors by traveling throughout the U.S. and Mexico for many years while keeping Prescott as their home base. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, her son William A. Jordan (1968) and her husband Francis G. Jordan (2006). She is survived by her sons Kurt, Fred (Suzie) and Chris (Deborah); four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott, Ariz.
