Linda Kay Ralston, of Gilbert, AZ, passed away on Monday, April 21st, 2003. Linda was born in St. Joseph, MO on July 12th 1947.
After a long and courageous battle with Breast Cancer she passed away surrounded by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband Bob, and children Carl, Lora & David, son-in-law Joe, and daughter-in-law Amy. Linda was also blessed with 4 grandchildren, Brittany, Jeremy, Riley and Emily.
Loving, holding, and cooking for these babies was one of the most precious joys of her life. She was a warm hearted and loving person to all her friends and family.
She also leaves behind her two sisters Karen and Helen, yet joining her sister Joan in Heaven. Whenever you came to Linda's house, whether it be as a guest, friend or loved one, you left with a feeling of warmth, and a full stomach.
For many years the grandchildren thought "Grama Linda's" house was the only place to eat. Linda's life here on earth touched many. She was a volunteer tutor at the Shaw Elementary School, Sunday School Teacher, and a "Den Mother" with the Cub Scouts. She was also a dedicated employee of the Arizona Republic Newspaper for over 27 years. In her dedication to help others, Linda was a strong and courageous woman donating her body to the American Cancer Society.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the First United Methodist Church of Gilbert or the American Cancer Society.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm Friday, April 25th at the First United Methodist Church of Gilbert at 331 South Cooper Road in Gilbert.
