COOPER, George Amos

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona February 26, 2010 George Amos Cooper, 73, died from cancer Feb. 16, 2010, at his home in Rainbow Valley. Mr. Cooper was born April 9, 1936, in Thomas, Okla., to Carl and Elcie. He served in the Army. He moved to Arizona in 1961 and worked as a baker at the Holsum Bakery for 37 years and he also worked in domestic well service. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion Post No. 61. He is survived by his wife, Ann; four sons, George E., Willie, Frank and James; three sisters, Bonnie, Sue and Elaine; one brother, Wayne; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Services were Feb. 23. The Rev. Cristiano Artigas officiated. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 9720 W. Peoria Ave., Suite 128, Peoria, AZ 85345-6133.
