Thompson’s Valley West Funeral Chapel Goodyear, Arizona (January 7, 1920 - September 19, 2009) Alberta “Madea” Bradley, daughter of the late Carl and Lillie Beasley, was born on January 7, 1920 in Langsburg, Arkansas. She was an only child, however her cousin Beatrice Banks was like a sister to her. She was baptized at age 9 at Mount Ephesus Baptist Church in Prescott, Arkansas. She attended school and worked as a cook at various cafes. She married Sherman Bradley on June 6, 1935 and to this union 6 daughters were born. Alberta moved to Arizona in 1951, and became a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. She worked as a housekeeper at Luke Air Force Base in Goodyear, Arizona. She leaves to cherish her memories 6 daughters, Ruby Kelley (M.L. Kelley), Dorothy Marshall and Helen Nuels of Surprise, Arizona, Shirley Scott of Phillips Ranch, California, Sandra Bradley of Phoenix, Arizona, and Gwendolyn Bradley of Avondale, Arizona, 11 grandchildren, 26 Great-grand Children, and a host of relatives and friends. A visitation will be held Friday, September 25, [2009[from 6-8pm with services to follow on Saturday, September 26, [2009] at 10:00am at Thompson’s Valley West Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd., Goodyear, AZ 85338. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
