Thompson’s Valley West Funeral Chapel Goodyear, Arizona Watson J. Butts, 64, of Avondale, AZ, formerly of Riverside, CA, passed away November 15, 2009 in Goodyear, AZ. He was born January 9, 1945 in Virginia to Watson Sr. and Elaine Butts. He and his wife Joyce moved to Arizona in 2008. Watson was a Master Sergeant, retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of service. In retirement he was a youth counselor at Silverlake Group Home for boys in Yucaipa, CA. He has been a member of SGI-USA since 1986. Watson is survived by his wife Joyce, his son Joseph, 5 step children, and a large and loving family. He will be missed by all. Full military honors will be presented at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 1:00pm Tuesday, November 24, 2009. Final arrangements entrusted to Thompson’s Valley West Funeral Chapel.
