The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona September 28, 1962 O.W. Carpenter Rites Saturday Funeral services for ORVILLE W. CARPENTER, 67, were held in the Wickenburg Chapel last Saturday afternoon with burial following in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Dr. Charles Poling officiated. Mr. Carpenter died suddenly of a heart attack September 20 at his home at 330 North El Recreo Drive. Born in Warsaw, Mo., December 25, 1895, Mr. Carpenter later lived in San Diego, Calif., where he was a Civil Service employee of the navy Air Base transportation department. Upon his retirement he and his wife moved to Wickenburg and built their home 5 years ago. The wife, Lillian, is the only immediate survivor.
