Robert F. Ray, 78, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on Dec. 15, 2002. Born in Brooklyn, NY on Aug. 5, 1924, he moved to Arizona 39 years ago from Buena Park, CA; He was a Navy veteran of World War II. After 28 years with the U.S. Navy he retired as Senior Chief Boatswains Mate. He was a Naval Advisor for Sea Cadets and was in transportation management. He is survived by his wife, Lourdes Mary; daughters, Patricia A. Noble, Monterey Park, CA; Kathleen M. Jolly, Calabasas, CA; Barbara J. Hudgens, Kennesaw, GA; Ellen N. Huppman, Herndon, VA; and Penny A. Cupina, Reston, VA; son, Warren P. Lundy, East Northpoint, NY; brother, Edward, Sound Beach, NY; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Prayer Service will be held Thurs., Dec. 19, 2002, with visitation from 5-8 PM at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale. Mass will be held Fri., Dec. 20, 2002, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 6261 N. Granite Reef Rd., Scottsdale. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
