The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, April 26, 2003 Sophia Sandej, 89 years, died April 23, 2003 in Peoria, Arizona. She was born in Cleveland Ohio, and has lived in Arizona for 25 years. She is survived by daughters Corinne Andrews of Glendale, La Verne Meissner of Phoenix, and Lois Serafin of Glendale, 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be Sunday April 27 from 2:00 PM till 5:00 PM, with a Rosary recited at 4:00 PM, at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd., Peoria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday April 28 at 10:00 AM at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, 10815 N. 35th Ave. Burial will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 5005 E.
