NEARY, Beulah May

Daily Miner, Kingman, Arizona - February 27, 2010 Beulah May Neary, born Oct. 2, 1918, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010. She was 92 and her heartbeat didn't give out until the very end. What a courageous woman! She lived a life only her generation could understand. You have to admire the perseverance of a woman who took part in a time most of us wouldn't know. As we contemplate our hardships, know that Beulah had lived through carnal times. As we complain of high divorce rates, healthcare, depression of economy and the commonplace of your lives ... know that: She was married to the same man, Joseph E. Neary, after a short courtship for 57 years (without high paid therapy). She had lived through no healthcare in her younger years until married into the Air Force. She had been through five U.S. wars, countless presidents and, well ... our thoughts on depression of economy just don't come close to the "depressed economy" she actually lived through. As for the commonplace of life, she was 92 years old and had seen the world change drastically. The only way to know is to have lived through it. Beulah was a mother of six: John Neary, Alice Wusstig, Joseph Neary, Patrick Neary, Deborah Gardner and Steven P. Wusstig. She was grandmother to 12: Steven, Melissa, Dawn, Caryn, Patrick, Grace, Stefani, Edward, Travis, Michael, Eric and Sharon. She was great-grandmother to 14: Ashley, Jordan, Emily, Sharon, Mercedes, Desiree, Brooklyn, Dominic, Makenzy, Anyssa, Skylar, Steven, Sebastian, James and Wyatt. There are so many people who were a part of her inveterate life that the family who survive her would like to thank you for loving her. She was strong-willed, stubborn, giving and courageous. These attributes are what helped her lead a life of 92 years. Beulah Neary can now rest in peace with her boys ... her son Joseph Neary (Joey) and her grandson Steven J. Wusstig (Stevie Boy). Forever in our hearts.
