REED, Henry Mason


Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona September 3, 1970 Henry Mason Reed of Ligonier, Pennsylvania, who, with Mrs. Reed built the first home in the Casas de los Caballeros residential development at Rancho de los Caballeros here, died at his home in Ligonier August 31 at the age of 66. He and Mrs. Reed had been guests at Los Caballeros frequently before building their winter home here which they had occupied for the first time last winter. Mr. Reed retired in 1958 as a Trust Officer of the Union National Bank of Pittsburgh. He was educated at the Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh, the Salisbury School in Connecticut and attended the University of Virginia. He belonged to many civic and social organizations in Ligonier and Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; a son, Henry Mason Reed, Jr., of Darlen, Conn., and a daughter, Mrs. John K. Woodwell, Jr., of Ligonier. Services were held at the home Wednesday at 4 p.m. and burial was private.
