SLAGLE, Howard O.

Heritage Memory Mortuary, Prescott, Arizona Howard O. Slagle passed away on March 1, 2010 at the VAMC Hospice Unit in Prescott after a short illness. He was born May 27, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio; the son of Arthur & Rebecca Slagle. Howard was 89 years old. Howard was a resident of Prescott Valley and had lived in AZ for 40 years. He served his Country proudly in the Engineer Division of the United States Army during WW2. Howard enjoyed reading, hiking, and studying religion in his younger years and later retired as a Real Estate Salesman. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 45 years Molly; seven children- Deanne Norton of Phx, AZ; Cynthia Aurzada of Prescott, AZ; Cathy Weber of Peoria, AZ; Angela Bevins of Poquito Valley, AZ; Ted Slagle of Pueblo, CO; Robert Hodge of Dewey, AZ; and Rebecca Daniels of California, PA. Eleven grandchildren- Ron Daniels; Serena Daniels; Nick Gyure; Whitney Klosinski; William Graening Jr.; Kevin Smith; John Weber Jr.; Jeremy Weber; Robert Hodge Jr.; Hannah Slagle; Matthew Daniels; Dylan Daniels; thirteen great-grandchildren, three sisters and numerous nieces & nephews. Visitation will be 3:00-4:00 pm Sunday, March 7, 2010 followed by a Scriptural Rosary. Funeral Mass will be held at the VAMC Chapel 11:00 am Monday, March 8, 2010 followed by Christian Burial Service at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott. In lieu of flowers family suggests donations to St. Vincent DePaul charity at St. Germaine Catholic Church in Prescott Valley, AZ.
