Eula Belle Bohme, 95, died on Feb. 28 at her home in Wheatfields. Eula was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill); her two sisters, Jewel and Blanche; her nephew, Harold Rice; and nieces, Evelyn Menges and Mary Jane Franklin.
Eula moved to Arizona in 1940 from Michigan, where she was a seamstress. She married Bill and they operated the Bohme Ranch northwest of Miami in partnership with his brother until Fay's death, and then in partnership with Fay's daughters until the ranch was sold in the early 1990s.
For many years, Eula and Bill were members of the Bustle and Boots Square Dance Club and the Gila Co. Gem and Mineral Society. She was also a long-time member of the Gila Co. Cow Belles. Although she never had children of her own, she helped raise six of her nieces and nephews. Eula was always very devoted to and much beloved by her family.
Eula is survived by her nephew, Clarence (Nicki); nieces, Kathy (Royce) Johnson, and Jane (Tom) Hale; her great-niece and caregiver Ellie Petty and Ellie's son, Michael; as well as many other great-nieces and nephews.
Miles Damron of Globe has been entrusted with her services and internment will follow at Central Heights Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Miles Funeral Services Globe Chapel, 237 S. Sutherland St., Globe, Ariz. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Miles Funeral Services Globe Chapel. Interment will be at Pinal Cemetery in Central Heights, Ariz.
Funeral arrangements for Eula Belle Bohme were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services, Miami.
