STEWART,
Betty
(Maiden Name: Holmes)
Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona
August 1, 1970
Graveside services, with the Eastern Star, in charge, were held at 2 p.m. last Saturday at the Hollywood, Calif., Cemetery for Mrs. Betty Holmes Stewart, a widely known resident of Wickenburg for many years before moving to California three years ago.
She died September 23 at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lucille Tevis in Los Angles, with who she had been making her home.
Mrs. Stewart lived here some 40 years and for a good share of that time she was employed by the Wickenburg Hospital of Dr. Floyd Bralliar, and later Community Hospital. She retired June 30, 1967. Prior to her marriage to the late Fred Stewart, she was the widow of Bill Holmes, long time town marshal and deputy sheriff here.
She was born in Pennsylvania in 1898. The Los Angeles sister is the only close survivor.
