SOLOMON, David Lee


Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona September 24, 1970 David Lee Solomon, who came to Arizona in a covered wagon from his native Mason County, Texas, in 1899, died September 16 in Community Hospital here. He had been a resident of Wickenburg area since 1937. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. last Saturday in the Wickenburg Funeral Home with LDS Bishop Clark Ashby officiating and burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Solomon was born August 6, 1883. During his earlier years in Arizona he was a rancher and miner and at one time owned ranches in Pinal, Gila and Graham Counties. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Helen Dee Wheeler of Monrovia, Calif., and two sons, Selby Lee Solomon of Camarillo, Calif., and Alma Guy Solomon of Cheyenne, Wyo. Four sisters also survive Mrs. Lila Wootan of Wickenburg; Mrs. Minda Skinner, Phoenix; Mrs. Madge Miller, Payson, and Mrs. Roxie Cline, Tonto Basin. Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
