LAINEY, Thomas Joseph

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona March 19, 1970 The SUN has just learned of the death of Thomas Joseph Lainey, a resident of Gladden, Ariz., the past four winters, which occurred February 16 in Community Hospital here. Funeral services were held at the Wickenburg Funeral Home February 20, conducted by G. B. Huthmacher of the Church of Christ and burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Lainey was born December 24, 1894 in Canada and was taken to Maine as an infant. He and Mrs. Lainey came west in 1924 and started coming to Arizona for their winters in 1963. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving is his wife Theo and five daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Curtis, Elko, Nev., Mrs. Elmira Young, Canon City, Colo., Mrs. Margaret Ormiston, Englewood, Colo., Mrs. Patricia Hunter, Folsum, Calif., and Mrs. Freda Howard, Escondido, Calif. Thirteen grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren also survive.
