WELLIK, Charles

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona April 23, 1970 Charles Wellik, age 89, father of George Wellik of Wickenburg, died in a nursing home in Garner, Iowa, March 30. Funeral services were held April 2 at 10 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Garner with the Rev. Robert L. Palen officiating. Burial was in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Wellik was born in Iowa, and was in the banking business in that state and in Minnesota most of his life. He later operated a tax and insurance business in Garner from which he retired in 1952. In addition to his son here he is survived by another son Raymond of Bellflower, Calif., and three daughters. The senior Mr. Wellik had visited his son in Wickenburg on several occasions in the past.
