Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona June 11, 1970 Funeral services were held Monday morning of this week in Phoenix for William H. Weaver, age 87, who is credited with instituting a 4 year high school in Wickenburg. He died June 4 in the Yavapai County Hospital in Prescott. He had been a resident of the Arizona Pioneers Home in recent years. A native of Texas he had been identified with the educational field practically all of his life, teaching in rural schools, serving as a high school athletic coach and principal of various elementary schools, including the Morristown school. He was a life member of the National Teacher’s Association. He is survived by a son William M. of Phoenix and six grandchildren.
