Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona June 11, 1970 Word has been received her of the death of Charles W. Pumphrey, Jr., a resident of Congress the past two years, which occurred May 17 in the Veterans Hospital in Long Beach, Calif. Mr. Pumphrey, who was 58 years of age, was a native of Oklahoma and had lived in California for many years before moving to Congress. He was a veteran of World War II. Funeral services were held May 21 in Pomona, Calif., and burial was in that city. He is survived by his wife Margaret, of Congress; his mother, a son; three sisters and a brother, all living out of state. One grandchild survives.
