SELMO, Doninic


Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona January 29, 1970 Although it was not unexpected - he had been in ill health for so long – yet the death of Doninic Selmo in his home in Phoenix January 21 brought sorrow to his many friends in Wickenburg. Mr. Selmo, who was 81 years of age, owned and operated, with Mrs. Selmo, the Calizona Auto Court at Valentine & Center Streets for many years before selling it a few months ago and moving to Phoenix so they could be close to their son and daughter. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. January 22 in the Arcadia Funeral Home in Phoenix, followed by Mass at 10 a.m. the following day in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Phoenix. Burial was in the St. Francis Cemetery in that city. Mr. Selmo was born in Italy and came to America in 1906. He is survived by his wife, Emma; the son Robert and daughter Beatrice Pretzinger, all of Phoenix; a brother in Michigan; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
