CROFT, Nellie Lee

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona December 31, 1970 Mrs. Lee Sutton has received word of the death, on October 10, of Mrs. Nellie Lee Croft of Wickenburg, which occurred at St. Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula, Montana. She had been in ill health many years. She was born July 16, 1898 in Lee County, Va., and moved to Morrill, Neb., when a small child. She taught in the rural schools in Sioux County, Neb., following her marriage to Orva M. Croft, and later in Scotts Bluff County in the same state. She and her husband moved to Wickenburg several years ago. She was a member of the Reorganized Latter Day Saints Church, loved poetry and had the Poet’s Corner in the Morrill Mail at one time. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son O. Max of Stevensille, Mont., two brothers and three sisters. Three grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held October 15 in Mitchell with burial in the Forest Lawn Cemetery
