SAVAGE, Marie Nina

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona November 12, 1970 Mrs. Marie Nina Savage, wife of Emmett Savage, mother of Mrs. Ray Bates of Wickenburg and Duane Savage of El Paso, Tex., died November 7 in Community Hospital here. She had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the First Presbyterian Church, which she had long been active, with the Rev. W. Howard Blazer officiating and burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mrs. Savage was prominently identifies with the Order of Eastern Star which conducted its service at the grave. She held many offices both local, district and state-wide in the VFW Auxiliary. She was born October 5, 1895, in Colorado and had lived in Arizona 35 years and in Wickenburg 25 years. Another son, Gordon was killed in action in World War II. Savage Street here is named in his honor.
