A 3-year-old California boy, James A. Thompson, son of Mr. & Mrs. William H. Thompson of San Bernardino was killed in a 2-car collision at the principal road intersection in Wittmann Saturday afternoon.

Highway Patrol reported the youth was a passenger in the car driven by his father which was struck by a car driven by Earl Ray Edwards of Glendale.  The Thompson car was westbound when the accident happened.

Treated at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix were the Thompsons and their 4-year-old daughter Angela Edwards was not hurt.

The fatality was not in the Wickenburg patrol area.
