NOZIE, Vivian

Vivian Bonito Nozie, 47, died June 8 [2003] in Phoenix. She was born in San Carlos. She was active in the Head Start program and helped start a youth group called Y.H.Y. The program was focused on drug-free youth and mentoring. Survivors include her husband, Mathew Nozie; five children, Elizabeth Moses (Gabriel), Melissa Nelson, Timothy Nelson Jr., Timalee Dawn Nelson, and Jaggo Nozie, all of Bylas; four sisters, Harriet and Carrier Bonito and Corrinda Moody of Bylas, and Phyllis Dillion of Peridot; and two brothers, Harrison Bonito of San Carlos and James Bonito of Bylas; and six grandchildren. Funeral service was conducted June 15 at Stanley Hall in Bylas. Interment was at Navajo Point Cemetery. Morris David's Safford Funeral Home handled arrangements.
