The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, March 3, 2010 John G. Lincoln, 87, of Prescott, Ariz., born Nov. 14, 1922, in Highland Park, Mich., passed away Feb. 27, 2010. Visitation is from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton streets in Prescott. A Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2010, at All Saints Anglican Church, 1806 N. Savage Lane in Prescott. A private cremation will follow at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, March 16, 2010 John Gladden Lincoln Nov. 14, 1922 - Feb. 27, 2010 Mr. Lincoln died in the Family Care Hospice Center at the Crossings after a short illness. He is survived by his children, Catherine Lincoln Wolfson of Tucson, Ariz., John Gladden Lincoln of Boise, Idaho, and Barbara Lincoln Tonn and James Marshall Lincoln, both of Show Low, Ariz.; and his sister, Marcia Lincoln Hinds of Medina, Ohio. Mr. Lincoln was a businessman and owner of Arizona General Supply Company of Prescott, a hardware, ranching and mining supplies store, from 1962 to 1985. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was a Republican and belonged to that party's Trunk and Tusk Club. He belonged to the American Legion and was a World War II Army veteran and was active in the Army Reserves after discharge, achieving the rank of Captain. He was also active in the Rotary Club of Prescott, the Mayflower Club, and in his church, All Saints Anglican Church. The visitation will be from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, at the Wakelin Family Funeral Home, 303 South Cortez Street in Prescott. A celebration of John's life will be Friday, March 19, 2010, at All Saints Anglican Church, 1806 Savage Lane in Prescott. Donations in John's memory may be made to All Saints Anglican Church, 1806 Savage Lane, Prescott, AZ 86301. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
